Our Story
If you’re wondering how the idea for ReCanvas was born - and who’s behind it - hello.
My name is Marina, and I’m so glad you’re here.
While ReCanvas itself is new, the roots of the idea go back several years.
It all started when I couldn’t find art that truly felt right for my home. So I began creating my own.
At first, that meant reworking inexpensive, store-bought art - keeping the frames and repainting the canvases. Over time, I wanted better quality and more intention, so I learned how to build solid wood frames myself.
One evening, while putting my daughter to sleep, my mind wandered to the artwork hanging in our living room. I realized it probably wouldn’t work with the Christmas tree I planned to put up in just a few weeks. The thought of making an entirely new frame for such a large piece - and then finding somewhere to store the old one until spring - felt overwhelming.
And the idea of adding more nail holes to the walls? Even worse.
That’s when it clicked.
What if I could keep the frame - and simply change the canvas inside it?
A system that would let artwork evolve with the seasons, without rehanging, without wall damage, and without constantly starting over.
That moment became the foundation of ReCanvas.
I began testing the idea in my own home, refining it through everyday use. And I quickly realized how practical - and freeing - it was for someone who loves decorating and changing their space.
Today, ReCanvas is my way of sharing that solution with others who feel the same way.
Thank you for being here - and for being part of this story.
